Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 May 2026
Melbourne Entertainment Co. ("we", "us", "our") operates the MEC Hub mobile application and the MEC Ops web application (together, the "Services"). This policy describes what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
1. Data We Collect
- Account information — email address used to sign in via Supabase authentication.
- Availability data — dates and availability status (Available, Not Available, Tentative), response notes, and change requests you submit through the app.
- Availability request data — request messages, event options, response history, and reminders used to manage performer availability.
- Booking information — event details, dates, and statuses synced from our internal booking system (Zoho CRM).
- Profile information — names, contact details, roles, aliases, and profile images used to identify performers, producers, bookers, clients, and event contacts where available.
- Device information — push notification tokens used to deliver notifications to your device, plus basic app and platform information needed to support notification delivery.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you and provide access to the Services.
- To display your bookings and manage your availability.
- To sync your availability responses back to our internal booking system.
- To show job sheets, contacts, profile photos, maps, and event actions relevant to your assigned work.
- To send you push notifications about availability requests and booking updates.
- To provide account support, investigate issues, and improve the Services.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Your data is shared only with the following service providers that help us operate the Services:
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and App Store distribution.
- Vercel — web application hosting.
- Expo / EAS — mobile app builds and push notification delivery.
- Zoho CRM — internal booking and availability management.
4. Data Retention and Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your MEC Hub account at any time from within the mobile app: open Settings → Delete account and confirm. This removes your sign-in credentials and any push notification tokens registered to your devices.
Because Melbourne Entertainment Co. has a contractual relationship with you as a contractor, certain records are retained as business records independently of your app account. These include your contractor profile, availability submissions, booking history, and event assignments. Zoho CRM is the system of record for these business records. To request removal of business records, contact us at the email below; we will process such requests subject to our legal and contractual obligations.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication tokens, and row-level security on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Your Rights
Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. You can delete your MEC Hub account directly from within the mobile app (see Section 4). To exercise other rights, or to request removal of business records, contact us at the email below.
